    The Tool Department Manager will provide coordination, supervision and staff support for all aspects of tool department operations.



    Duties will include but not limited to:

    • Coordinate and monitor the ordering, receiving, storage, distribution and return of company owned or leased tools and equipment in a timely and effective manner and in compliance with company policies and vendor requirements
    • Maintain and control tool inventory and accessories to ensure adequate resources and to avoid shortages.
    • Complete updated jobsite tool status reports and document any urgent tool requests on a monthly/quarterly basis and / or as needed
    • Provide assistance to Corbins employees in securing needed materials, tools, equipment and delivery items 
    • Manage and support the inspection tools returned from field locations for damage, repair and / or replacement as needed.
    • Ensure a consistent flow of tools in good working condition from the Tool Dept to project locations
    • Maintain Corbins tagging system to verify working condition of all tools monitored and maintained by Tool Dept
    • Perform end-of-job tool justifications and report information as needed
    • Prepare and maintain current inventory records for materials and equipment received, stored, issued and transferred off-site
    • Schedule and supervise the delivery of materials, tools, and equipment as necessary including any permits and safety checks as required by law, and ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely manner
    • Participate in the development and implementation of department standards and procedures, including staffing needs and improvements to the tool program
    • Schedule, assign and direct the work of the Tool Dept personnel
    • Maintain regular and effective communication with vendors, service providers and supervisor as relates to Tool Dept operations
    • Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition



    • High School graduate, G.E.D. or equivalent training
    • Five (5) to seven (7) year(s) warehouse and/or supervisory experience
    • Strong knowledge of receiving, warehouse, and material handling operations, methods, and practices
    • Knowledge of electrical trade tools and basic hand tools
    • Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel and Outlook)
    • Professional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
    • Good organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to multi-task
    • Ability to work in fast paced environment, flexible and adaptable to changes to planned tasks or schedule
    • Ability to work 40 hours per week and overtime as required
    • Able to lift and/ or carry 50 lbs unassisted
    • Valid driver license and proof of insurability when job duties require use of motor vehicle
    • May be exposed to job site conditions during inclement weather
    • Requires exercising of discretion in decision making process and maintaining of strict confidentiality with respect to applicant, employee, and company proprietary related information
