  • Overview

    Corbins Electric is now seeking a SIPP Technician for our Operations department.  *This is a Safety Sensitive position*  


    Primary Function:  Coordinate Site Incident Prevention Program between customer and work force. 



    Essential Job Functions/Tasks:

    • Create and track SIPP documentation for all scopes of work.
    • Complete panel assessment forms as needed.
    • Update panel schedules as needed.
    • Acquire all necessary signatures for SIPP.
    • Attend daily SIPP meeting for approval.
    • Make copies of approved SIPPs and distribute to requestor.
    • Create and track DWP’s (Dirty Work Permits) and RWP’s (Routine Work Plans) for all scopes of work.
    • Acquire all necessary signatures for DWP’s and RWP’s.
    • Make copies of approved DWP’s and RWP’s and distribute to requestor.
    • Track all SIPP’s, DWP’s, and RWP’s for expiration.
    • Communicate expiration dates and customer needs to SIPP requestor.




    • Professional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point)
    • Organized and detail oriented
    • Strong interpersonal skills


    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to work 40 hours per week or more if required
    • Ability to walk jobsites in inclement weather conditions
    • Valid driver license and proof of insurability required when job duties require use of motor vehicle
    • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs unassisted
    • May require repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers
    • May require prolonged periods of sitting throughout workday
    • Requires exercising of discretion in decision making process and maintaining of strict confidentiality with respect to applicant, employee, and company proprietary information
    • Must present professional image of Corbins Electric at all times by promoting and exemplifying Company’s established core values
