Overview

Corbins Electric is now hiring for a Payroll Adminstrator in our Human Resources department. The primary function of this position is to achieve processing deadlines for weekly payroll processing. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and discretion with confidential data.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize internal programs to pull together payroll data for the week and import into accounting system
  • Coordinate with accounting on certified wage jobs and setup
  • Update employee information as needed
  • Monitor and process garnishments and child support orders
  • Enter deductions and add-ons, taxes, and other pertinent information
  • Update PTO banks and communicate questions around PTO to employees
  • Utilize our accounting software to process weekly payroll
  • Prepare direct deposit weekly
  • Communicate with Accounting and HR departments on status and changes
  • Prepare any additional checks for referral bonus, anniversary, etc
  • Process weekly payroll for our temporary workforce
  • Communicate with our temp staffing agencies on hours and invoicing
  • Track and pay incentive and shift pay differentials
  • Run month, quarter and year end closing reports
  • Communicate with field workforce and Supervision on hours discrepancies
  • Provide other administrative support to the Human Resources and Talent department as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related degree preferred by not required
  2. Experience: 2-4 years full-cycle payroll experience. Construction Industry experience preferred but not required.
  3. Mental: Ability to multi-task, collaborate with others, set priorities and take initiative. Excellent relationship building skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities. Strong analytical and negotiating skills. Excellent organizational, verbal, written, presentation skills are a must. Bilingual a plus.
