POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function of this position is to direct the daily activities of the field workforce on assigned project(s). Manage all aspects of Administration, Safety, Quality Control, Schedule, and Production for assigned project(s).

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

MANPOWER/SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT:

  1. Provide project or site specific orientation to new employees when required for project.
  2. Ensure field employees are following company policies and procedures at all times.
  3. Implement Corbin Electric’s safety standards, policies, and procedures at all times.
  4. Provide coaching, training, and guidance to field crews on all matters related to job site safety. 
  5. Respond to incidents or near misses on assigned projects immediately, execute required reporting, and participate in the correction and resolution of all issues.
  6. Thoroughly complete and submit all Corbins standard and project specific required safety forms accurately and timely.
  7. Identify specific project safety training needs and notify Area Superintendent with sufficient time to receive trainings and maintain project schedule. 

TEAM DEVELOPMENT:

  1. Perform field evaluation on each craft level employee and submit to Area Superintendent.
  2. Enforce Corbin Electric’s progressive discipline program for assigned workforce as necessary.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION:

  1. Participate in job walks as requested by Superintendent and provide complete and accurate information on CE IRQ form.
  2. Participate in take-offs or other estimate preparation activities as requested by Superintendent.
  3. Work with and at the direction of the Detailing Superintendent to identify project prefabrication opportunities and develop project kitting plan.

 PROJECT PLAN:

  1. Initiate and lead the development of a comprehensive project plan for each assigned project incorporating all requirements, constraints, and opportunities utilizing Corbins Electric’s Project Plan Development Guidelines and tracking tools.

 PROJECT EXECUTION / PRODUCTION: 

  1. Execute established production tracking for assigned projects.
  2. Work closely with Field Support team including Purchasing, Prefabrication, and Virtual Construction to maintain project flow.
  3. Comply with NEC, NFPA, and all other applicable codes and standards.

 SAFETY:

  1.  Provide project or site specific orientation to new employees when required for project.

QUALITY CONTROL:

  1. Implement Corbins’ quality control standards and practices at all times.
  2. Provide coaching, training, and guidance to field crews on quality control standards.
  3. Thoroughly complete and submit all Corbins standard and project specific required QA/QC forms accurately and timely.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with on-site customer representatives.
  2. Promote Corbins Electric in a positive light at all times when dealing with customers, trade partners, subcontractors, and other industry professionals.
  3. Ensure professional resolution of escalated field related issues and customer satisfaction.
  4. Carry out other initiatives and perform other duties as requested by Superintendent or General Superintendent.
